The Asturias plant starts operations
The Asturias factory came on stream in June 2002, boosting MIVISA’s production capacity in the areas of coil cutting, coating and printing, as well as driving synergies with key suppliers and improving the Company’s internal logistics.
The start-up of the Asturias plant also enabled Mivisa to begin manufacturing a new product, Mivisa Caps ® (twist-off caps) to complete the Company’s product range. We aim to position MIVISA as the leading manufacturer of twist-off caps in terms of both quality and service in the short term.

2003
Move to the Las Torres de Cotillas (Murcia) plant
In August 2003 all of the remaining production lines at the Churra (Murcia) plant were moved to the Las Torres de Cotillas (Murcia) plant. The completion of the move will result in a major reduction in the transport of both Raw Materials (tinplate) and Finished Products between the two factories.
The only work remaining to complete this facility is the construction of the new head office building, which is scheduled for the last quarter of 2004.

Official opening of the Asturias plant
The Llanera plant (Asturias) was officially opened by the President of the Regional Government of Asturias on 8 April 2003. The event was attended by representatives of numerous institutions.
