MIVISA’s production process comprises six clearly defined
stages:
| |
1. Tinplate purchasing
Tinplate is received in large coils purchased from suppliers with
proven capacity in terms not only of product quality but also of
reliability in deliveries and the standard of the service provided. |
| |
2. Cutting
The cutting process is carried out at the La Rioja, Las Torres
de Cotillas and Asturias plants. Cutting operations are personalised
depending on the type of product for which the tinplate will
finally be used. |
| |
| |
3. Coating
The coating process is also carried out at these factories,
after which the cut and coated plates are sent to the printing
or production lines as appropriate.

| |
4. Printing
The printing process is carried out at the Las Torres de Cotillas
and Asturias plants. Printed products currently represent 22%
of the finished products manufactured by MIVISA. |
| |
| |
5. Finished product
The printed and/or coated sheets are fed
directly into the production lines, where cans, standard ends,
easy-open ends and Mivisa Caps ® (twist-off
caps) are manufactured. |
| |
6. Warehouse
The finished products obtained are stored in warehouses for
sale or sent on to other plants.
