LAS TORRES DE COTILLAS

Upon completion, the Las Torres de Cotillas plant will become Europe's largest and most efficient food sector tinplate can factory.

At the same time, action was taken at the Las Torres de Cotillas plant during 2003 to improve working conditions for personnel employed in certain sections of the factory. This included:
-Isolation of presses for two-piece cans, standard ends, easy-open ends and multi-die with the aim of reducing noise.
-Temperature insulation through the installation of false ceilings.

MIVISA’s challenges for 2004 include the following:
-Construction of the Company's new head office building at the Las Torres de Cotillas factory. Completion is scheduled for the last quarter of 2004.
-Continuation of the process of isolating presses and canning lines commenced in 2003.
-Implementation of appropriate internal logistics at the factory following the completion of the move.
-Start-up of the new machinery acquired, which will represent an investment of over 10 million in 2004
